Toss your own creation! Move down the line to include your pick from over 30 different toss-ins – not just cucumbers and carrots, but ingredients such as quinoa, hearts of palm, pickled onions, roasted corn, wasabi peas, spicy pepitas, feta, & goat cheese. Next, add a protein to make your design a bit heartier. Choices include marinated, oven-roasted chicken or skirt steak, roasted salmon, shrimp, tofu, or sopresatta salami. Welcome to The Toss, a Locally-Owned Business!

The Toss San Carlos is a family-owned and operated neighborhood café where you can enjoy deliciously fresh, tossed-to-order salads. Opened in the late fall of 2017, we specialize in design-your-own salads, warm grain bowls, and soups. We offer locally sourced produce, delivered and prepped daily. Everything is made in-house, including several daily protein selections, small-batch dressings, soups, & focaccia bread. Feel good by eating healthy and supporting a local business!

Abram's Goodies!

Meet Abraham, the Toss’s amazing manager and baker. Before joining us, he was a member of Specialties “Dream Team,” opening new locations throughout California, and worked as Head Baker at Sourdough Boudin, San Francisco. Since The Toss’s opening in 2016, Abraham runs the kitchen, oversees staff, and is the restaurant’s backbone, but he always jumps at the chance to put his baking skills to work.
